How to type Hindi on computer using English keyboard 

Typing in Hindi on computer is a tough task. Isn’t it!!? First learn the Hindi layout of your keyboard, according to font you will use, Kurtidev or Mangal. Then you are able to do the typing. But don’t worry, it’s not that tough and boring anymore. Yaah, not if you use the technology smartly. To do so follow the steps:

Step 1. Go to the link provided below to download the software called ‘Google Input Tool’ or even you can search it on your browser and download it from any website.

Step 2. After download is complete, you will see it’s a zip file as shown in picture below, you need to extract it. If you don’t know how to extract a zip file you can watch the video provided below with step by step explanation of this content.

Step 3. Now you have extracted the zip file, double click on the software you got, to install it. Say yes to every step.

Step 4. Select ‘Reboot Now’. Now click on finish. Your computer will restart and software will be calibrated.

Now open your typing software and by pressing       Shift      +  Alt   together.   

And Hindi typing will be activated. Even if it doesn’t, follow following steps:

Step 1. Click on language toolbar on your taskbar. It will look like as shown below in picture.

Step 2. Click on ‘Show the language bar’. A pop menu will appear.

Step 3. Click on ‘English’ and select ‘Hindi’.

Step 4. Beside ‘Hindi’, you will see ‘Hindi Traditional’ written as shown below.

Step 5. Click on it and select ‘Google Input Tools’.

So, now you are ready to type in Hindi………..
